Early History of Education in America

Here is were you will find what i'm writing about, i have suggested to write about B Prompt.

During the Great Depression the teachers continued to teach even though they would either get paid little or not at all ,because i think they wanted to see the student get a education and have them feel smart and have them succeed. The motivation they had was to see their students succeed. If I was a teacher during that time and i could choose to teach or to leave.I would stay and teach because i would want to see the students succeed and become what they want. For example, if the student or students don't get it i'm not going to leave them i'm going to stay and teach them.If I saw a teacher quit i would ask him/her students about what they were learning and i would try to teach them.I don't really know what factors i would weigh in this situation, but i would think about the student and where they are at in the lesson.

The Water is Wide Reflection

Recently in Mrs. Kallas's class we reviewed the movie The Water is Wide. You will find my responses here Blog Prompt.

1.) Education has changed; the discipline is different because the teachers don't hurt the student now they will give them a detention or d-hall.

4.)Mr.Conroy inspired his children to learn by taking them on field trip to Washington D.C and having a projector that projected historians on the wall and they would call out that historian.

5.)Mr.Conroy got the community to support him be showing them that their kids can actually learn, and that he is why they have their education.

6.)The roadblocks he encountered with his coworker was that Ms.Brown didn't think that Mr.Conroy was teaching the kids the right way.

The Leader in Me!

Leadership Observed

A couple of similarities between a teacher and a leader are that they both have to be patient, trustworthy, and helpful. They both have to be patient because some of the students wont get it and you might have to keep describing it to them. They also have to be trustworthy because the students might have to tell them stuff about whats going on at home or at school.Leaders and teachers have to helpful because if someone doesn't get it and not leave them behind.
